and affiliate companies - Should you not
agree with these Terms and Conditions in
full, you must immediately terminate your
use of this website and our service.

With such a great opportunity to be able to
present all our gift packaging products to
you, we always try and ensure that we give
you a great buying experience too.
With this in mind we set out our
standard reference guide for lead times on
our products, our terms of service and
shipping conditions.
Please read these carefully as we always try
and stick to them, and so should you!

Shipping,
Returns and Credits
Terms and
conditions of use of the
www.packagingsource.co.za
website
Normally in stock and unbranded items
Normally in stock items are shipped within 3
- 5 business days of receipt of your order
and payment.
Should the product ordered be out of
stock you will be contacted with a
replacement suggestion or a ETA for the
arrival of the new stock.
If you have a time crunch, please
call and ensure the availability of the
stock before placing the order.
Standard Reference
guide for lead times and ordering
of custom made / branded products
All our lead times indicated below for custom made / branded
products exclude the time for making of
samples and are quoted on lead time AFTER
approval of proof / artwork (deposit in our
possession).
Artwork should be supplied to us print ready.
Lead times always include the last
day for manufacturing, and exclude time for
delivery.
The Packaging Source cannot be held liable for completing
rush jobs with late changes to artwork, non
receipt or deposits or other factors out of
our control.
RUSH JOBS: Where
the client requires a custom made/branded
item in a shorter lead time (but no less
than 7 working days), The Packaging Source
will only agree to such a job in writing,
charging a 25% rush job fee, and with enough
lead time (at least 5 days) available for
manufacturing AFTER approval of artwork.
Rush job invoices are payable 100%
upfront before the job will be entered into
production.
NO EXEPTIONS CAN BE MADE.
All other jobs will be considered
standard manufacturing jobs and have to
abide by standard lead times.
NO personalized orders can be returned or credited as it
cannot unfortunately be re-sold.
Should a personalized order be
cancelled when already in production, the
full outstanding amount will still be due
for payment.
A lead time change or event
cancellation from the client side on a
standard
custom made order after the order has
been placed and paid does not automatically
mean a refund / credit as it has already
been put into the production schedule and
time has already been spent on preparation /
raw materials and planning of that order.
Branded Gift Boxes
Please note that WE DONT USE DIE's for our
gift boxes - you are welcome to request your
own unique size of gift box at no extra cost
Plain custom made gift boxes
Our custom gift boxes that are made to size,
but not branded, takes up to 15 working
days, depending on the qty and complexity of
boxes and of course,
the availability of raw materials
(paper).
Orders over 600 boxes, or with
inserts and windows will take up to 5 days
longer to manufacture.
Please make sure to allow for this in
your schedule!
Branded / Printed gift boxes
When ordering a custom branded gift box the
standard lead time is between 10 - 15
working days, depending on the qty and
complexity of boxes.
Orders over 600 boxes, or with
inserts and windows will take a few days
longer to manufacture.
Please make sure the artwork supplied
to us is in a print ready format, you will
be charged extra if we have to redesign or
make changes to it.
Branded Gift Bags
Screen printed gift bags
Dependent on stock availability, on our
normal stock gift bags (matt or glossy) we
can screen-print on our gift bags in 10-15
working days.
The screen-printing process can de
done in SPOT colours only and up to 4
colours for matt, and 2 for glossy bags can
be used per job.
Please allow for a 10% over- or under
run to allow for make ready's and faulty
prints. (all done by hand)
Prices quoted are normally per print,
per side.
Litho printed gift bags
Our litho printed gift bags can be
manufactured in 12 - 20 working days, during
the normal months of the year and up to 15 -
20 working days in our busy season
(Oct/Nov).
Standard A5 / A4 / A3 and Giant Sizes
available, custom sizes will take longer to
manufacture as we have to allow up to 3
extra day for making the DIE.
Foiled gift bag
Please note that we can only foil on A5 and
A4 gift bags - the lead time for these
foiled bags are currently 10 - 15 working
days - this allows for the foiling block to
be made from the print ready artwork
(supplied in a flat print - no shading or
3D) and in Black and white.
Maximum artwork to be foiled on an A5
gift bag is 90mm wide (left to right) and
50mm high (top to bottom) - centred on the
bag.
On the A4 bags we can foil up to
100mm wide and 80mm high also centred on the
bag
Printed Metal Gift Tins
Dependent on stock availability, we can
print on our standard range of gift tins
(selected tins only) within 7 - 8
working days.
Artwork should be supplied in Vector
format, high resolution and print ready.
No guarantees can be made as far as
the perfect print quality is concerned, as
the artwork resolution influences printing.
Please make sure the artwork is of a
good quality.
Please note some scratching and
denting may unavoidably occur during
shipping, please allow for an extra 5% on
order for that.
Branded Ribbon
Branding on our ribbon products will take
approximately 10 - 12 working days, for
standard items like satin / peters ham
ribbon.
Certain organza ribbon will take
longer if we have to source the ribbon from
other manufacturers.
Please confirm the lead time for
organza / special ribbon before placing the
order.
Gift Wrap and Tissue Paper
All our flexographic printed personalized
gift wrap and tissue paper rolls can be
printed to specification - for two colour
jobs the lead time is 10 - 15 working days,
and for three and four colour jobs the lead
time is 3 - 4 weeks.
Please allow for an extra day if the
job also requires sheeting.
The litho printing of our gift-wrap
is currently on a lead time of 7 - 10
working days.
The litho printed gift wrap is
unfortunately not available in rolls.

Use of The Packaging Source service and
website, The Ribbon Place, Paper Spot and
SEO for dummies (hereafter called The Group
of Companies) indicates compliance to all
the items stipulated in our terms of service
on this page and any other official
documentation.
All the information on The Group of
Companies websites as well as the source
HTML files and code may be used solely under
the following terms and conditions
stipulated below.
If you do not agree to these terms
please leave the site and do not engage with
The Packaging Source, or its affiliates,
resellers and agents.
Service Definition
Our service includes the supply and
manufacture of standard gift packaging that
also includes making personalized gift
boxes, gift bags, organza bags, tissue paper
and gift-wrap, and ribbon.
We are always available for gift
packaging advice and always try to help our
clients to the best of our ability in a
friendly professional manner.
All our packaging is manufactured to
client specification.
For the sake of clarity, we would just like
to also point out what our service does not
include:

Please Measure your own relevant packaging
items.
We can unfortunately not take the
responsibility on us for guessing or
measuring packaging to suit a general item
without being given the exact item or the
exact dimensions in the correct format.
For boxes this format will always be
the length x width x height, and for gift
bags it is length x width x gusset.
Please make sure you have the
measurements correct, as we cannot refund or
exchange products wrongly ordered.

We don't plan and design artwork.
We could offer this as a separate
service, done by professional graphic
artists, however as part of our standard
service, we require your artwork in a print
ready format (either high res PDF, Corel
Draw, or JPG (vector)) for printing
customized items.
Should you require the artwork to be
rotated, shrunk, colourized etc, we cannot
take responsibility for incorrect sizing,
colour or print.
We endeavour to always match your pantone
colour selections exactly, and with our
flexographic and litho printing have a very
high success rate.
However we cannot guarantee exact
matching of the pantone colours with our
digital printing method. Slight variations
in colour and consistency may occur.

We are not a sample making service.
We are more than happy to make sample
for clients that placed orders of 100 boxes
or more (when required), but can
unfortunately not make samples at random for
clients with intention to buy.
Our minimum order requirement for
boxes is 30 boxes per size, and for printed
bags it is 200.
Should we be able to do a sample (if
production lead times allow) a setup fee of
a minimum of R150 will be charged in
addition to the cost of the box / bag.
Should proofs / sample boxes be
required for sign-off for actual jobs, the
deadlines of these jobs will be extended to
commence only once sign-off has been
obtained.

Deliveries and collections.
The
Packaging Source have a dedicated driver and
delivery vehicle, used for local deliveries
and collections, but these will be charged
to the customer account.
We also make use of local courier
services.
The client will be requested to
arrange collection from anywhere outside
Gauteng or the Cape Province.
Should this not be possible, we will
be able to post items after a quotation from
the post office is obtained and the fee has
been collected from the client.
The Packaging Source cannot be held
liable for the delay in courier collections
and deliveries; it is the responsibility of
the client to ensure enough time is allowed
to obtain the products for all relevant
occasions and functions.

Shipping,
Returns and Credits
Shipping of Stock Items
Normally in stock items are shipped within 3
- 5 business days of receipt of your order
and payment. Personalized and manufactured
items take longer (you will be quoted
according to the time frame for expected
delivery).
Please don't delay between placing
the order and making the payment - and order
is not an indication for us to reserve the
stock for you.
We can only do that on receipt of
payment.
This is due to the fast movement of
stock on hand.
PLEASE DO NOT place your order if this is a
problem and your time frame window is too
small, as our products are all handmade and
cannot be mass produced in short time
periods.
Email us the complete item number to
check stock if you have a time crunch!
The Packaging Source cannot take
responsibility for getting your products to
you in time for your event/function.
If an item is out of stock we will
keep the order back until it is available or
advised otherwise by you, our client.
Please make sure to follow up on
outstanding orders to check stock
availability if you have a looming deadline
as stock cannot be returned if we did not
make your deadline!
Please make sure when ordering from
independent agents/resellers to check for
stock availability and deliverables, as the
Packaging Source cc cannot be held liable to
fulfil promises made by independently acting
resellers.
Because so many of our items go in oversized
boxes by Courier/Shipping standards even
though they are very light we do not offer
rush shipping because there is no way we can
know what the costs will be until your box
is packed, weighed and measured.
We always charge fixed calculated
shipping fees (online and direct) that
includes handling and packaging, applicable
to the areas we ship to. If you need your
parcel sooner, then please arrange your own
courier company to collect from our offices.
All our standard stock orders ship within 3
- 5 working days, dependant on stock
availability.
Orders will only be dispatched once
payment has been received.
Order Changes or Cancellations:
Due to the high volume of orders that are
rapidly processed
it is not possible to make additions,
changes, deletions or cancellations to
orders once submitted and paid for.
Where We Ship
South Africa only!
We can ship to locations inside
Gauteng with our delivery and courier
service but are limited to certain
locations.
If you need parcels to be shipped
outside of Gauteng, please arrange for your
own Courier company to collect these orders
from us!
Minimum Order Requirement
We do not have minimum orders requirements,
but customers have to buy the pack sizes in
which our products are available, we cannot
break packs to sell individual products.
Out of Stock
The Packaging Source
cc reserves the right to cancel an
order if an item is out of stock,
and will notify
the
client via email.
If substitutions are available we
will make you aware but will not ship
without your permission.
If unable to ship or substitute total
monies will be credited to your card
immediately.
If you paid by EFT, you will be
contacted for your banking details so we can
refund your money as soon as possible.
This only applies to standard out of
stock items Please see the section on
personalized options for terms thereof.
Returns Policy
We endeavour to ship all our products with
the greatest of care, however some
wrinkling, scratching or folding might occur
during shipping. All stock supplied on an as
is basis, E&OE.
If there was a problem with your
order - a damaged product or wrong product
shipped to you - please email us ASAP!
Please include the following information so
we can find your order.
Name and Address where items were shipped
Name and Address of person paying for the
order (if different)
Date ordered
Date received
Invoice number
Problem with shipment -please be specific
Contact number where we can contact you
Freight Problems
We must be contacted immediately upon
package delivery If damage happens to your
items in shipping (when shipped with our own
driver) Please don't hold up the driver, but
accept the package.
We will access the claim and make
arrangements for the product to be replaced.
Parcells shipped by the customer or
it's couriers cannot be replaced as the
customer is responsible for insuring the
package from the time it leaves our offices.
Wrong Product Shipped
We must be contacted within 36 hours of
package delivery:
If
the mistake is ours we do everything needed
to make sure you receive the correct product
in a timely fashion.
We do need to receive the original
order back before replacement can be made.
If time is of the essence, a credit
card number can be given to your rep to hold
and replacement will be sent immediately.
The item must be at the location shipped to,
allowing the Courier to pick up the item for
return and someone must be available to
allow the Courier to pick up the package.
If this is not possible, you can
request to ship back at your discretion but
you are responsible for the safe return, if
we do not receive the items within a timely
fashion, your card will be charged for the
replacement order.
By submitting an order on our shopping cart,
or placing an order with our company or
one of our company representatives
either by phone, e-mail, by fax or
otherwise, you understand and agree to be
bound by all our
terms and conditions of service as
displayed on this page, and located on the
pages on this website and our correspondence
to you.
Credit and non-Refundable policy
We can unfortunately not return or credit
items that were wrongfully ordered by you,
so please order with care as no exceptions
can be made.
Should we decide, by management
discretion to accept a return on a standard
stock item, a 25% handling fee will be
charged, the goods must be returned to us in
the original packaging, without any damage
and accompanied by the original invoice.
We will then issue a credit against
the customer, for future use, no refunds
will be made.
Refusing a delivery by the courier.
If a package is refused and is returned to
us, you will be responsible for ALL of the
product and shipping charges.
There will be no refunds in this
instance.
