Dependent on the size of the gift box and thickness of the card board, and of course what we must cover it in, our manufacture time ranges up to 15 working days for a standard unbranded gift box (lead times may vary according to our production schedule). The lead time for custom branded gift boxes is slightly longer dependant on the complexity of the branding.

Our standard gift boxes are all cut from from a sturdy 1200 / 1800 Mic cardboard, (thicker cardboard is used for larger gift boxes) and then covered in any of our wide range of fancy papers. All boxes are handmade, in our Johannesburg factory, so each one is a unique masterpiece!

We custom make all our gift boxes to suit our customer requirements. 

We have a minimum order requirement of 30 boxes per size for all our cardboard gift boxes. Because we have the use of large machines our boxes are custom made EXACTLY to our customer requirements. Our boxes can be customized with different sized lids for the same box, foiling, stickers colour and texture options for every client and every product.

Turn the gift box upside down and use the lid as the base, we also have different branding options for your gift box - from litho to digital and screen printing.

Metallic Paper (Star dream)      

Our metallic star dream range of paper has a metallic pearly finish and is very popular for gift boxes for weddings and corporate functions. 

We have a wide range of colours available, and the colours can be mixed and matched.  Cover your gift boxes with star dream paper for a classy look.

     
Textured Paper (Wibalin) covered Gift Boxes
Our Wibalin paper range is very popular among the corporate clients. 

This paper has a very subtle texture to it, and lends class and sophistication to your gift boxes. 

 

MATT Paper covered Gift Boxes
Our Matt paper range is our most cost effective gift box paper range, and it is available in lovely bright colours as well as a range of pastel colours. 

This paper works really well with foiling and can be mixed and matched with a variety of colours or prints.

Fancy / Embossed Paper covered Gift Boxes
Now fancy boxes is within reach of everyone, with our  fancy paper / embossed range! 

This paper is quite costly, so minimize the price of these gift boxes by mixing and matching these prints on your lid with matt or Wibalin bases for a more cost effective solution to your gift boxes!

Like the look of dots and stripes?  We can cover your gift boxes in any of our available gift-wrapping paper (dependent on thickness of available paper).  Send us your own gift-wrap (as long as it is thicker than 80gsm) and we will cover your boxes in it.

 

Branded / Printed Paper Boxes

All our gift boxes be personalized with your own unique design / brand paper to cover the gift boxes. 

Popular designs include the baroque and damask prints, dots and stripes and of course personalization like photo's (also very popular in black and white) and corporate colours.

Important Notes about our Cardboard Gift Boxes: We are able to do urgent jobs where delivery is less than the stated manufacturing dates, but rush-job fees do apply!  The rush option is only available during months outside of our festive season rush (October - December) We have a minimum order quantity of 30 gift boxes (per box size). Our Gift Boxes can only be shipped outside of Gauteng Province if  you send your own courier to collect. For Gauteng:  The delivery fee applicable will depend on the volume of the load of gift boxes in your order.  All our boxes are DIE cut by machine, but covered and manufactured by hand.  Slight variations in size and consistency in exact location of foiling, gluing and printing (where applicable) is to be expected.  Each box is a unique masterpiece. Please note that The Packaging Source cannot take responsibility for measuring a box on a client's behalf.  Boxes are made exactly to dimensions specified by the client, so please make sure your items fit, and your brief includes all the details.

This soccer ball box proof was done for a client in JHB, the soccer ball box is made up of panels and can be lined with either satin, or paper on the inside.  Each panel on the outside can be printed according to specification.  The soccer ball box is made from a sturdy 2300mic board, so will be able to hold items inside.  These soccer ball boxes are approximately 23cm in diameter.  Minimum order qty's of 200 applies for unprinted ball boxes, and 1000 for personalized printed boxes.

Another great idea is to use a standard gift box (the one in this sample was done in a silver star dream paper, and have your personal or company information together with the 2010 world cup information printed on the lid. Minimum order qty's for boxes like this is 30 per size - however we do have a maximum size restriction for printing on the box. 

Need more options for the world cup?  Here is a great gift box idea - a Presentation Box.  Turn ordinary items into collectors items with this presentation box - The is made from a sturdy glossy board, with a flip lid, inner box tray that can be used to display a sport shirt or memorabilia. 

The box also has an insert under the box tray that contains an platform for holding a book / additional item. The outside and inner lid of the box can be printed in full colour with your logo, sport art etc, and the inner box tray and insert can be covered in matching suede/velvet material. 

These boxes are also available in other shapes and sizes -e.g. Present a special CD or DVD in a similar type of box as an anniversary promotion or special edition.

Hat boxes (round boxes) are very popular at ladies events.  Use them at a stork tea or pack products into them and ship them off as a promotional gift (people LOVE them), or simple use them to give away your gifts or goodies at your function/event.  Hat boxes are versatile, and often gets used to store other items long after the gift that came in them has been forgotten!

Our hatboxes can be made using any of these papers:  Wibalin , Star dream, MATT paper,  Gift-Wrap and Textured Paper.   Our hatboxes are available in set diameters, but can be done in any height of your choosing.

Hatboxes takes up to 15 working days to manufacture.  The Maximum diameter is 300 and the maximum height we can do is 340mm. 

Depending on the product to go into the hatbox, they can be made from a sturdy 2100 GSM solid base, or a lightweight 550gsm base.

Our range of stand up liquor or wine gift packaging boxes consist of round boxes with handles (the stand-up variety), as well as

These are very popular as corporate gifts, or for expensive liquors.  Our wine and liquor gift boxes are made to fit all types of bottles, they stand up inside the liquor box, and we add a handle to the top for easy transportation. 

Have your boxes customized and branded with a foiled logo, or let us use personalized printed paper to cover the boxes in your corporate colours.  These boxes are available in single and double liquor boxes and is ideal for wine and other liquors. 

Standard sizes for the single bottle stand-up liquor box is 110(L) x 110(W) x 370(H)mm and the double box dimensions are 180(L) x 80(W) x 340(H)mm. 

For the round boxes we start from 100mm diameter with any height (according to your wine) and the next round size is 130mm diameter. 

If you are looking for a flat wine or liquor box we offer the wine box with a base and detachable lid, in size 280 x 90 x 90mm (or to your requirements)  Whatever liquor or wine box you choose, we can custom make it for you.
