Custom Branded Gift Boxes for Company ProductsOur custom branded gift boxes are very popular to use for retail products such as software that needs a sturdy yet presentable box. These boxes are normally made from a base with a detachable lid, and is typically branded on the lid. Sometimes these boxes are extra special and we do gloss or matt lamination, foiling or additional litho printing on them. The small orders for lid only branding (limited to specific sizes) is 50 units.

The Packaging Project:The client required two versions of the same sized gift box to give to the buyers of new cars at their showrooms. Each box contains another smaller box with a fancy pen set, and a glossy full colour catalog of the new car that was purchased. By using a simple techniques and understated paper designs we were able to obtain a classic clean and tempting appearance across these box designs. Using a leather feel paper for both the base and box lids, with a simple silver hot press foil logo, centered on the lid. We used the clients corporate colour inside the box as lining, and also as the colour of the platform insert, holding the pen gift box flush, to allow the full colour brochure to be placed on top, with the lid closing flush. The distinction between the products is achieved using the box colouring and differentiating logo placed on the lid.

The Packaging Project
The packaging requirement for this client did not consist of a singular project from a singular source, but consisted of various projects, for various campaigns, over a period of 3 years. The most notable of these were done for the Soccer World Cup 2010 hosted by South Africa, and resulted in quite a few high profile people visiting our courtry, and being entertained by various financial institutions including the ABSA group. Giftboxes were made for the VIP invitations in light brown textured paper with a uniquely designed soccer themed gold foil.
The second box for this project were sent out to the clients with the schedules, tickets and hotel information, they were larger than the first. These boxes were more subtlety branded with only the logo and custom branded gift ribbon. still in the light brown finish. The gift ribbon had to be dyed up in a specific colour with another pantone screen printed on the ribbon.

The Packaging Project:
Striking production techniques have been used throughout this packaging project to create a unique finish and a strong sense of brand identity throughout the range. A number of factors had to be taken into consideration when the structural design of the gift boxes were done,including the brand colour, and not loosing any details during the cutting process of the materials with various thicknesses.
The gift boxes consisted of a base and lid liquor box and shirt box made in slightly larger custom sizes. The bases of both boxes were done in a red textured paper, and the tops were litho printed to the Pantone of the company colours. The lids have clear cutout artwork showing the red of the base of the liquor box, and the gift tissue inserted in the shirt box.
Normally we don't do gift tissue in more than 3 colours, but for this job the variations of colours were very cleverly done, enabling us to do partial screens in between the spot colours, ending up with almost 8 colour variations across the circles. Polypropylene (curling ribbon) were also printed with the coloured circles and the background of the logo were blanked out to show the light silver colour through.
